James and Olivia

Olivia's friend James came over to play today. They had lots of fun playing outside, playing on the back deck, and pretending to cook with pots and pans. Olivia enjoys the doting mommy role and is always trying to "help" James by feeding him snacks or here where she is pushing him on the bike.
Olivia took a little break and James was all like "Hey! Where did you go?"

Potty Time

So it looks like we may be getting out of diapers sometime soon. Olivia loves the using the toilet instead of her little potty and has been using it pretty regularly. She has already designated it as "her toilet" and she will throw a fit if anyone else goes near it.

Here she is enjoying the dryer, almost as much as mommy does.

Day at the Park

We went to the park near our house this morning. Although she doesn't look like she is having fun, she was actually just mad that I had stopped the swing to get a picture. Then we went for a ride on the train. This is Olivia's favorite part of the park.
Where to now, Olivia?
She said horsey, horsey, which means a ride on the carousel.

Our New Apartment

After much debate we decided to move out of our apartment complex for numerous reasons. Brian found this apartment while looking on the internet and after looking at it we were convinced we should make the move. Despite the hassle of moving it was absolutely worth it and we are happy we finally moved. Olivia has way more room to run now and we can actually wash our clothes at home which may not seem like a big deal, but after nearly two years of the laundromat it is exciting for me. Also thanks to everyone that helped out while we moved, we wouldn't have been able to do it without you!

This is Olivia on our back deck pretending to talk on the phone.

Hillary!!!

Woohoo! Since the North Carolina primaries are coming up on May 6th, Hillary Clinton has begun campaigning in our state. Her very first stop was my college, Wake Tech. We got up early this morning and Olivia and I made the trip out to my school to stand in line to hear her speak about the future of our economy.
After much waiting she came out and the response was amazing. All the students were so excited to finally see her after an almost hour delay. Olivia was really good about it. She had lots of snacks and juice to pull her through.
After the speech Hillary came down to shake hands and take pictures. The audience stormed her and I didn't think Olivia and I would be able to reach her.
I decided we weren't going to leave without a picture with Hillary so I called out to her "Hillary, will you take a picture with my baby?" She graciously agreed and so I passed Olivia up a few rows and got this awesome picture. It was an amazing experience to be in the presence of such an inspiring woman and I truly enjoyed hearing her speak.

Trip to J-Ville

Last week was Brian's spring break so we headed to J-Ville for a few days to visit with our family. Olivia was excited to see Rock and was always throwing his ball for him.
She also got to play with her cousins.
They played with the football in the backyard for a while before dinner.
Then we celebrated Brian's birthday with a yummy ice cream cake.
Olivia is in the process of potty training and adjusted well to traveling with her potty.

We had a lot of fun on the trip and hope to go back again sometime this summer.
