My Little Helper

Olivia has become quite the little helper lately. Everytime I go to do anything housework related she is right there saying "I help you, Mommy". Here she is making chocolate chip cookies and then today she even wanted to mop. The only way I can manage to get things done is by telling her that we need to take turns with the mop, spoon, etc. She is so cute about it that I don't even get upset when she spills dirty mop water all over the freshly cleaned floor=)

Myrtle Beach

We just got back from a week long vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC. It was so much fun and we had a blast hanging out at the beach and doing all things water related.
Here I am with Olivia enjoying the lazy river which was awesome!
Olivia loved running into the waves as they broke on the beach.
Papa would hold her hands and lift her up so she didn't get a mouthful of water.
Brian buried her in the sand and Olivia didn't mind one bit, she actually looked like she might fall asleep. It was sad to have to leave after such a great time, but we are happy to be home and settling back into our routines.

Papa and Gigi's Visit

My grandparents arrived today to visit with us for the week. Olivia got so excited when they walked in the door that she couldn't stop running around and shouting. After that she kept getting books for Papa to read to her. It is great to see Olivia get to enjoy her great grandparents. BTW I passed my test!!! Now only a couple more years until I'm done with my pre reqs and Olivia is old enough that I can start nursing school=)

School and Candyland

We are officially done for the semester! This pic is Brian with his power supply, wave-form generator with am/fm input. I don't know quite what that is, but he does and that's what matters. So far Brian has got A's in three of his classes and the verdict is still out on the last one. I finished my last exam yesterday and have received A's in both of my classes as well. Now I have to start studying for an exam on Friday called the HOBET. It is what they use here to determine if you are eligible for the nursing program. Wish me luck!
In other news Olivia played her first game of Candyland the other day. I had originally thought that it would be lots of card throwing and not a lot of playing, but Olivia was pretty cooperative about the rules of the game and enjoyed learning how to play.
