It's Cold!

We got our snow! It's over for now, but the weatherman is already calling for more snow next weekend. Alaina tolerated it better this time. She especially loved going up and down the road on the disc with Olivia.

Having Fun

Life has been good although pretty busy here lately. Alaina is making good progress with motor skills and doing great with eating. Her speech therapist was here today and had her drinking with a straw by herself. Yay Alaina! The pictures are of Alaina in her new walker (Thanks Aunt Yuki!). Olivia loves it because she can push Alaina all over the house in it.

Olivia is still enjoying her preschool and dance class. She has been sick for awhile with a cough and runny nose so she went to the pediatrician today and got a prescription. I'm hoping her symptoms improve shortly. If you look on the side you can see the books Olivia has been reading. We share a love of Berenstein Bears books, they are the best. She learns so much good stuff from them and the stories always have me laughing.

We are getting snow here tomorrow. It's predicted to be 10-13 inches. I'm so glad it's arriving on the weekend so nothing gets interrupted and we can all get outside to enjoy some snow play.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Aquarium

When we were in NC for Christmas we went to the NC aquarium at Fort Fisher. Aquariums have always been our thing, it's even what we did on our honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, SC. Olivia also enjoys seeing all the creatures that live underwater. As you can tell from the picture she has become a little skittish about the scary looking ones. What's great about Alaina is she is still at the age where they can't run from picture shoots. Same goes for Dr. appts. Alaina is amazingly cooperative while Olivia will scream and shoot the Dr. evil looks. Babyhood does have its good points!

VA Christmas

We had two Christmases this year, one in VA and one in NC. We would be in NC on Christmas so decided to have the girls open their presents here first so we didn't have to take them with us. The snow started on Thursday night and was thick by Friday morning so that ended up being Christmas because is worked perfect with the snow.
Baby's First Snow!

Presents! I tried to discuss with Santa that maybe a bike wasn't a great winter present, but he disagreed and Olivia loves it. Santa will also be the one taking Olivia out in the currently 30 degree weather to ride that bike!

Putting together her puzzle. Puzzles are Olivia's latest obsession. She will put them together over and over as long as I keep taking them apart. Really keeps her happy so I'm not complaining. Thanks to everyone for the gifts you sent!

NC Christmas

Happy New Years!!! I'm behind on pictures and blogging so I'll do my best to get caught up. We spent Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Harvey at the beach in Topsail Island, NC. It was the first Christmas we've had all the Harvey's together as well as being Alaina's first Christmas.

Olivia loved spending time with her cousins, especially Hannah. Those two are so much alike it's fun to watch them play together!

Present time!

We took a walk on the beach one morning. Beautiful, but it was pretty cold. Funny story is while we were there I managed to get myself locked out of the beach house when I was there with just the girls. While waiting for everyone to get back we went to the beach and Olivia splashed around in the water in just a shirt and underwear. In the middle of winter! Kids sure don't seem to mind the cold as long as they're having fun.
